Engineering Department
A Brief Summary of Tasks of the Engineering Department:
The main tasks of the department: management, follow-up and control of the movement, registration, maintenance of cars, machineries and equipment belonging to the company, supplying them with fuel and oil, manufacturing and maintaining caravans, studying, planning and implementing the engineering and civil projects.
The Engineering Department consists of:
1- the Administrative Section: its main tasks are managing, directing and controlling on movement and registration of cars and equipment, following up and updating the preparation of daily and quarterly reports for cars and equipment with the relevant parties inside and outside the company, following up the daily activities of the fuel station works, issuing all forms and authorizations of the Department’s works, and preparing all administrative works of correspondences and communications.
2- Heavy Equipment Repairing Section: its main tasks are supervising and directing employees in the technical workshop to make sure of performing maintenance and repairing, making plans for the Maintenance works and priorities of work, making sure that all the equipment are working after maintenance through the equipment demo checking, following up the periodic maintenance works through coordination with other technical sections, and preparing the daily and periodic reports of performance, existing problems and completion rates.
3- Light Equipment Repairing Section: the most important tasks are supervising and directing employees in the technical workshop to make sure of performing maintenance and repair works and making plans for the maintenance works and priorities of work.
4- Manufacturing of Caravans Section: its main tasks are managing, qualifying and manufacturing of caravans, maintenance works, blacksmithing and welding for all sheds and cabins, directing employees in the workshop to ensure performance and priorities of works, coordinating with other technical sections, and preparing of periodic reports of performance, existing problems and completion rates.
5- Civil Engineering Section: its main functions are managing, following up and supervising the implementation of all the company's infrastructures projects, sanitation projects, carpentry works, road cladding, water and cooling systems, preparing plans, engineering designs with tables of quantities and costs, directing employees to motivate them and choose appropriate alternatives by engineering and mathematical methods, identifying priorities, and preparing the daily and periodic reports and completion rates , problems , obstacles , and ways to correct them with optimal solutions for processing.
6- Technical Services Section: managing all operations of planning, organizing, directing and controlling, making decision for works of the main operating units that each one has a different work from others to meet the needs of the residential complex of OEC in Al-Nahrawan.
- Follow-up Unit: the main tasks are following up the implementation of the directives issued by the management of the department, following up the works and programs of current or new projects, checking the technical and administrative workflow, identifying the negative points and percentage completion of operations under the daily reports for studying and analyzing, and proposing the appropriate solutions in a way that improve and develop performance.
- Transportation Unit: its most important tasks are managing and following up transport services for all employees of the company, it also includes all duties and delegations inside Baghdad and all provinces and manager's transport lines, initial and periodic maintenance works of oil change, wash and lubrication for all vehicles of the company.
