The Seismic Crews of Oil Exploration Company Continue Their Operations Despite Challenging Weather Conditions
The seismic crews of Oil Exploration Company, affiliated with the Ministry of Oil, are continuing their field operations across their various operational areas, stretching from northern to southern Iraq, despite snowfall and difficult environmental and climatic conditions. This comes despite reduced fuel allocations for seismic equipment and support and service equipment, particularly with these harsh weather conditions which necessitate additional fuel supplies.
The company affirmed that its seismic crews are continuing to perform their duties according to approved plans in accordance with the technical and time-bound program prepared by the Ministry of Oil. This is part of supporting national efforts aimed to enhancing Iraq's hydrocarbon reserves and compensate the depleted.
For his part, the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, stated: “The company’s personnel working within the seismic crews continue performing their field duties with high efficiency and great determination, despite the climatic and environmental challenges, driven by their belief in the importance of seismic operations and its pivotal role in supporting the Ministry of Oil’s strategic plans. We are also committed to providing all necessary safety equipment and logistical support to ensure the continuity of operations and the protection of our personnel at various work sites.”
He added that the company is proceeding with its exploration plans according to the highest approved technical standards, praising the significant efforts exerted by the seismic crews in the field and emphasizing that these efforts reflect the high level of commitment and national responsibility among the company’s employees.
