The Planning Budget Preparation Committee at the Oil Exploration Company Held an Expanded Meeting to Match the Planning Plan for 2026 with Allocated Spending
Under the directions of the Cabinet to reduce public spending, and following the approval of the planning budget by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, the Planning Budget Preparation Committee at the Oil Exploration Company held at Ninawa Hall on Mon. 11/5/2026 a consultative meeting chaired by the Director General of the Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein.
The meeting was attended by the Assistants Director General, members of the relevant committee, and several managers of relevant divisions and departments.
The meeting included a discussion of all proposed items, focusing on reducing unnecessary items to align with the approved financial allocations and reviewing the items of the planning plan prepared by the Planning Division / Planning and Follow-up Department and categorized into financial accounts by the Financial Department and other company’s departments to ensure efficient performance.
The meeting also included a commitment to government financial standards for reducing spending without prejudice the quality of outputs.
This procedure aims to ensure the formulation of a realistic financial plan that meets the requirements of the current phase and aligns with the state's fiscal policy.
