The Oil Exploration Company Holds its Periodic Meeting for Heads of Seismic Crews

Based on the keen interest of the senior management of Oil Exploration Company, represented by the Director General, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, and its direct responsibility for overseeing field operations, the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas M. Ali, chaired the periodic meeting for the heads of the seismic crews.

 

The meeting, held in Ninawa Hall on Sun. 18/1/2026, was attended by a number of managers of relevant divisions and departments.

 

The meeting started with a welcoming address to the attendees, followed by a comprehensive presentation of the implementation phases of  2D & 3D seismic surveys, the progress achieved, and the plans developed for the upcoming period in accordance with the approved exploration program. The meeting also addressed the most prominent technical and logistical challenges facing the seismic crews at the work sites and ways to overcome them to ensure the continuity of work according to the specific timelines.

 

During the meeting, the Deputy Director General emphasized the strategic importance of seismic crews in exploration operations and their vital role in enhancing the accuracy of geological and geophysical interpretations. He stressed the need for strict adherence to occupational safety and environmental protection standards, as well as following internationally recognized best practices. He also called for strengthening teamwork and increasing continuous communication between field crews and support administrations to achieve optimal results.

 

 At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Director General commended the exceptional efforts of the seismic crews personnel, appreciating  their pivotal role in success of the company's exploration plans.
