The Oil Exploration Company Holds its 15th Board Meeting of its 7th Session and the 1st of 2026
The Oil Exploration Company held on Wed. 28-1-2026 its 15th board meeting of its 7th session, and the 1st of 2026, chaired by the company's Director General, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, and attended by the members of the board.
The Director General started the meeting with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcoming address to the attendees. He emphasized the importance of the current phase and the work requirements, in light of the approved plans and programs for developing the company's performance.
The meeting discussed several key issues, most notably the investment budget of 2026, as well as ways to support the implementation of foreign effort projects within the licensing rounds for the same year. In this context, the Director General directed that the necessary equipment and specialized technical personnel be provided to ensure the projects are implemented according to the specified timelines and with the required efficiency, particularly those involving foreign effort projects.
The meeting also included a review of technical and administrative reports, progress on seismic survey projects, and a detailed presentation of the company's performance over the past period. Implementation indicators and proposals to improve operations and enhance institutional performance were also discussed.
The meeting further included a comprehensive review of approved work plans, an assessment of progress on ongoing projects, and a discussion of several organizational and technical issues aimed to supporting the work environment and enhancing the company's overall performance, in line with its strategic objectives and future plans.
