The Oil Exploration Company Holds an Awareness Seminar Entitled: “The Role of Women in Promoting Sustainable Development and Protecting the Environment”

Under the implementation of directions of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, within the company's commitment to sustainable development and its role in establishing a balanced environmental and economic future, the company's management places particular importance on supporting awareness and community initiatives that contribute to protection environment and enhance the role of women in the development process.

In this regard, the Office of the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs/Women's Affairs Section, in coordination with the Training and Development Department, held an awareness seminar entitled “The Role of Women in Promoting Sustainable Development and Protecting the Environment.”

The seminar, which was held in al-Ta’lim al-Mustamir Hall on Tue. 27/1/2026, witnessed a distinguished attendance from the company's employees.

The seminar was presented by Mrs. Dhura A. Yousef and Mrs. Sura J. Hussein, both employees from the Health, Safety, and Environment Department. They addressed the vital role of women in promoting sustainable development concepts and their pioneering role in implementing initiatives to conserve natural resources. The seminar also highlighted modern methods for establishing environmental protection within local communities.

The seminar included extensive dialogues and discussions about women's field experiences in implementing environmental protection projects. Practical recommendations were also presented to enhance women's participation in environmental sustainability programs, with focus on community and educational initiatives that support environmental protection projects.
