The Oil Exploration Company Holds an Awareness Lecture about the Role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption

In implementation of the directions of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, aimed to disseminate a culture of integrity and transparency and enhancing professional awareness, and coinciding with International Anti-Corruption Day, with the goal of positively impacting the company's work environment.

Based on the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, the Expert Hussein S. Awda, the Oil Exploration Company – Legal Department, in cooperation with the company's Training and Development Department, held an awareness lecture entitled "The Role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Promoting the Values ​​of Integrity and Transparency to Reduce Corruption Crimes".

The lecture was presented in Al-Ta’leem al-Mustamir Hall at the company headquarters on Sun. 28/12/2025 by Mrs. Sarah S. Radhi and Mr. Hamza H. Laibi.

The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of the United Nations Convention against Corruption as an international framework supporting the promotion of integrity, transparency, and accountability, and its role in establishing a culture of compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and directives within institutions.

The lecture covered several important topics, including an overview of the articles of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, an introduction of the international agreement, its key provisions (the legislative and procedural framework) for criminalizing acts of corruption and their implementation, the employee's responsibility in combating corruption, and the importance of reporting violations, which contributes to protecting public funds and strengthening institutional trust.
