The Oil Exploration Company holds a Board of Directors meeting

The Board of Directors of Oil Exploration Company held its seventh meeting, chaired by the OEC Director General, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, on Tue. 29/7/2025 at the company's headquarters, in the presence of the Board members.

The meeting started with a welcoming speech delivered by the Director General, in which he praised the efforts of the working staff and commended the recent achievements in the fields of seismic survey and exploratory studies.

During the meeting, they vote on the accreditation of the certificates of graduates of oil and support specialties, based on the approval of Prime Minister, the Engineer, Mohammed Shia’a Al-Sudani, and the approval of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, the Engineer Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad. The Chairman of the Board of Directors considered this step to represent direct support for national competencies and contribute to enhancing the scientific and practical capabilities of employees, which will positively impact the company's performance and development.

The Board also reviewed a presentation by the Processing Department, which reviewed the department's most prominent activities during the first half of the year. Future work plans and mechanisms for implementing strategic projects were also discussed. The meeting also reviewed the company's financial and administrative performance, discussing the challenges facing some projects, and worked to find appropriate solutions that align with the overall objectives of the oil sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director General emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between technical and administrative departments and make efforts to achieve the best results.

He emphasized his full support for initiatives that contribute to developing the work environment and enhancing institutional performance.
