The Oil Exploration Company Hold a Workshop on Electronic Signatures to Enhance Digital Transformation and Document Protection
Under the directions of the Director General, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, the Oil Exploration Company, in cooperation with the Technology Source Company, licensed by the Ministry of Communications/ the General Company for Communications and Informatics, held at Mohammed Fawzi Hall on Tue. 7/4/2026 a specialized workshop on electronic signatures. It was attended by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas M. Ali, a number of the managers of divisions and departments with specialists.
The workshop, presented by a team of specialists from the Technology Source Company, addressed several important topics, including the legal framework for adopting electronic signatures, the official license obtained by the company from the Ministry of Communications to conduct this activity, and the importance of electronic signatures in expediting administrative procedures and reducing reliance on paper documents.
The workshop also highlighted on mechanisms for protecting electronic signatures from forgery and hacking, and the modern technologies used to ensure information security and confidentiality. It further reviewed its practical applications in governmental institutions and its role in supporting e-governance and digital transformation projects.
The workshop also addressed the benefits of adopting electronic signatures, including improving institutional performance, simplifying procedures, reducing time and effort, and enhancing transparency and reliability in exchanging of official documents
