The Oil Exploration Company held a ceremony to honor a group of its employees retiring in 2025

Under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, and the Director General of the Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, the company held at Mohammed Fawzi Hall on Mon. 2-2-2026 a special ceremony to honor a group of its employees retiring in 2025.

The ceremony was attended by the Assistants Director General, managers of divisions and departments, and a large number of company employees.

The ceremony started with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a moment of silence and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of our martyrs. The Iraqi national anthem was then played.

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, delivered a speech in which he expressed his deep appreciation and pride in the great efforts made by the retiring employees, stressing  that their years of service were not merely numbers on a service record, but rather a mission and a journey filled with achievement and dedication contributed to solidifying the company's position and enhancing its credibility, enabling it to rival international companies, particularly in the field of seismic surveys. He noted that work is not just a job, but a value and a sense of belonging that translates into action in the field.

The ceremony also included the screening of a documentary film produced specifically for this occasion. The film highlighted the professional journeys of the retiring employees and their active contributions in developing the Oil Exploration Company over many years of dedicated service.

Afterwards, the retiring employees offered words of thanks and appreciation, expressing their profound gratitude to the Director General of the Oil Exploration Company for this generous initiative, emphasizing their pride in their years of service at the company and the support and recognition they received throughout their careers.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Director General honored the retiring employees with commemorative shields and gifts, expressing gratitude for their dedication and loyalty throughout their years of service. During the ceremony, attendees recited Surah Al-Fatihah for the late Mr. Wadi Shaalan Yassin, in recognition of his sincere and dedicated service to the company.

The ceremony ended with a group photo of the honorees with the Director General, documenting this special occasion that reflected the company's appreciation and pride in the contributions of its employees.
