The Oil Exploration Company Completes the 2D "Hidhab" Program in Ninawa Governorate
The Oil Exploration Company has completed the 2D "Hidhab" Program in Ninawa Governorate, implemented by the 8th seismic crew of the Field Operation Division with area of 1691.9 km/length and 33876 power points.
It achieved by Iraqi efforts, as the crew's staff were able to carry out the seismic surveys efficiently despite the complex geographical and logistical challenges they faced, with fully adhering to approved technical and environmental standards. This represents an important step towards strengthening Iraq's power file.
The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, emphasized that “the success achieved by the 8th seismic crew reflects the level of professionalism and dedication in performing their duties. It embodies the spirit of teamwork and ambition to achieve outstanding results that meet the requirements of the next phase in the field of exploration”.
He added, "We have awarded the staff of the 8th seismic crew a letter of thanks and appreciation for their great and distinguished efforts. We will continue our full support to all seismic crews, as they represent the basic of exploration operations. We are committed to overcoming all obstacles they face to facilitate the workflow and achieve accomplishments in time with the highest safety standards."
He noted that this achievement is a vital tributary for the national economy, contributing to strengthening hydrocarbon reserves and compensate the depleted.
