The Director General of Oil Exploration Company receives a delegation of the Chinese Al-Qarnain Company

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, received a Chinese delegation from Al-Qarnain Company, the operator of Al-Qarnain field, listed in the annex of the fifth and sixth licensing rounds.

The meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas M. Ali, and the Head of the Joint Management Committee/the Manager of the Operations Division in MDOC, Mr. Abdul-Ridha Hamoud, in addition to the manager of the Field Operation Division, discussed a number of technical and contractual issues between the two parties.

The discussions resulted in finding practical solutions for all obstacles related to the finalization of the contract for the 2D seismic survey operations in Al-Qarnain Block, ensuring progress in implementing the planned technical program for developing the field according to the planned timetable.

The attendees emphasized that this progress is the result of the cooperation and trust between MDOC and the Investment Company in Oil Exploration Company, as well as the advanced technical and human capabilities possessed by the Oil Exploration Company, and its ability to implement the most challenging programs with high efficiency and outstanding quality.

These meetings are part of the Oil Exploration Company's efforts to strengthen partnerships with international companies and affirm its commitment to supporting strategic projects in the exploration and development sector, that serving Iraq's economic interests and sustainable energy.
