The Director General of Oil Exploration Company receives a delegation of Kuwait Energy

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, received on Sun. 3/8/2025 a delegation of Kuwait Energy, headed by Mr. Jang Guangfa, the Head of Iraq Projects at the company.

During the meeting, the possibility of contracting with the Oil Exploration Company to conduct 3D seismic surveys in the ninth exploration block was discussed. The technical and logistical aspects of the project, as well as prospects for joint cooperation between the two parties were reviewed.

The visiting delegation also gave a detailed presentation about the latest developments in Al-Faw exploration block, Al-Faiha’a oil field, and Al-Siba gas field. These projects are operated by subsidiaries of the UEG Group in Iraq.

This meeting comes within the Oil Exploration Company's efforts to strengthen cooperation with reputable international companies and implement its exploration programs according to the highest technical standards, serving the objectives of the Ministry of Oil and enhancing national economic resources.
