The Director General of Oil Exploration Company Discusses Prospects for Enhancing Cooperation with the Chinese Geo-Jade Company

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, received at his office on Mon. 22/12/2025 a delegation from the Chinese Geo-Jade company in the presence of the manager of the Field Operations Division.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance future cooperation in conducting seismic surveys of the blocks assigned to Geo-Jade, which will contribute to supporting the company's plans to develop exploration activities, maximize hydrocarbon reserves, and compensate the depleted.

The Director General emphasized the Oil Exploration Company's commitment to expanding its partnerships with international companies and benefiting from the expertise and modern technologies possessed by specialized companies, in line with the Ministry of Oil's directions to advance exploration activities and achieve sustainable development of hydrocarbon resources.

For their part, the delegation of the Chinese Geo-Jade company expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation with the Oil Exploration Company, praising the results of the seismic surveys of naft Khana oil field carried out by the staff of Oil Exploration Company by the technical and human capabilities that the company possesses and its pivotal role in supporting the oil sector in Iraq.
