The Director General of Oil Exploration Company Chairs the Periodic Meeting of Seismic crews’ Heads
In keen to follow-up the progress of field operations and evaluate technical performance, the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, chaired on Tue. 14/10/2025 the periodic meeting of the heads of seismic crews. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs and several managers of relevant divisions and departments.
The Director General started the meeting by welcoming the attendees. The meeting reviewed the progress and achievements rates of the seismic survey programs in various Iraqi governorates.
The Director General emphasized the necessity of adhering to the established timelines and executing the work according to the highest standards of quality and occupational safety.
He stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and integration between the seismic crews and the technical and administrative departments to ensure the smooth flow of work and the efficient achievement of exploration objectives.
He also directed to enhance the full technical and logistical support to the seismic crews to enable them to perform their duties optimally, explaining that these crews represent the basis of oil exploration operations, and that the company relies heavily on their efforts for enhancing hydrocarbon reserves and compensate the depleted ones.
The Director General indicated that the next phase will adopt more modern methods and technologies in seismic survey operations, which are considered a requirement for the next stage and for the companies that won the fifth supplementary and sixth licensing rounds. This will be accompanied by a focus on continuous training and developing the field skills of personnel, keeping pace with global developments in the field of oil exploration.
