The Director General of Oil Exploration Company Affirms Supporting of National Efficiencies and Commends the Achievements of the Seismic Crews

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, chaired the periodic meeting of the heads of the seismic crews, in the presence of his assistants and a number of the managers of relevant divisions and departments.                                                                           

The meeting began with a welcoming address from the Director General, then instructed the Manager of the Field Operation Division to proceed with the agenda after reviewing the progress of field operations and  discussing future plans for seismic survey projects in various Iraqi governorates. Technical reports were also presented regarding completion rates and the challenges facing the seismic crews, particularly those related to environmental and security conditions. Ways to improve performance and enhance work efficiency were also discussed, in line with the company's strategic plans to support and maximize hydrocarbon reserves.

The Director General congratulated the staff of the Second Seismic Crew for completing the 2D seismic survey project in Najaf Governorate for the Chinese company EBS, in a record time of approximately one month less than planned.                                                                                                   

He emphasized the importance of adhering to technical standards and occupational safety requirements, as well as preserving the environment during exploration operations. He commended the field achievements, which reflect the high level of professionalism, discipline, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by our seismic crews. He added that our reliance on national expertise in implementing survey programs according to the highest technical standards, along with continued support for engineering and technical staff.                                                                    

He concluded the meeting by stressing that the next phase requires redoubled efforts and a strengthened team spirit to continue achieving qualitative accomplishments. He emphasized that these achievements represent a genuine leap forward in consolidating the company's position in the oil and gas exploration sector. He affirmed that optimal investment in national talent, coupled with the adoption of the latest technologies, will remain the cornerstone for achieving the company's strategic objectives, thereby contributing to supporting the national economy and maximizing the country's hydrocarbon resources.
