The Deputy of the Ministry of Oil for Upstream Affairs Praises the Efforts of Oil Exploration Company During an Expanded Meeting
The Deputy of the Ministry of Oil for Upstream Affairs, the expert Bassim M. Khudhair, chaired on Thu. 17/7/2025 an expanded meeting to discuss the recommendations of the annual presentation presented by the Oil Exploration Company in the presence of the company's Director General, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, and a number of the divisions and departments’ managers, along with specialists from the Reservoir and Field Development Directorate and the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Directorate.
During the meeting, the Deputy praised the significant efforts made by OEC, commending the performance of the company's senior management and staff, emphasizing that the ministry closely monitors its exploration activities and pays great attention to supporting its technical and logistical capabilities.
He said, "We support all efforts aimed to improving performance and accelerating the implementation of exploration plans, thus enhancing the company's role in developing the national oil industry."
For his part, the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama R. Hussein, highlighted the company's most significant achievements, along with the challenges facing the implementation of its exploration programs. He emphasized the company's continued implementation of its strategic plans, in accordance with the ministerial and governmental vision, to enhance hydrocarbon reserves and expand field development operations across the country.
This meeting is part of a series of periodic meetings held by the Ministry of Oil to evaluate performance and support the implementation of exploration projects, contributing to strengthening the capabilities of the oil sector and achieving its goals in the short and long term.
