The Deputy of Oil Ministry for Upstream Affairs, the expert, Mr. Bassim M. Khudhair, chaired on Wed. 23/4/2025 an expanded meeting to discuss Al-Nasiriyah Integrated Project in the presence of the Directors General of OEC, Dhi Qar Oil Company, the Reservoirs and Fields Development Directorate, the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Directorate, and a staff from the relevant directorate within the Ministry.

 During the meeting, the project axes were reviewed and the latest technical developments were discussed for implementing the project phases, which include the development of Al-Nasiriyah field, the construction of Al-Nasiriyah refinery, a petrochemical plant, and a power plant.

The Deputy of Oil Ministry for Upstream Affairs emphasized the strategic importance of the project and directed the need to expedite its implementation for its important impact in enhancing the capabilities of  oil sector and national economy.
