Oil Exploration Company Seeks to Enhance Aviation Safety Standards at Ministry of Oil's Airstrip

As part of its commitment to achieving the highest aviation safety standards and ensuring a safe aviation environment, Oil Exploration Company (OEC), under the supervision of the esteemed Director General, conducted an aerial and ground inspection of the airstrip at the Ministry of Oil's headquarters on March 23, 2025. The inspection was conducted in coordination with the Army Aviation Command, the Air Transport Section, and the company's HSE Department.

During the inspection, obstacles were identified and requirements for ensuring takeoff and landing operations were assessed in accordance with international standards. This will contribute to enhancing the airstrip's readiness to support scheduled and emergency flights operated by OEC for the Ministry of Oil and other government authorities.

In this context, a joint meeting was held, chaired by Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas Mohammed Ali, to discuss the mechanism for implementing these requirements. He emphasized that OEC seeks to optimize the use of aircraft and provide a safe environment for aviation operations to achieve the strategic objectives of the oil sector.
