Oil Exploration Company Presents Specialized Lectures for Students of the Oil and Gas Economics Department at Al-Nisour University
In accordance with the directions of the senior management, represented by the Director General, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, and in line with the Oil Exploration Company's role in supporting the academic sector and enhancing scientific exchange between educational institutions and oil sector.
The Oil Exploration Company/ Training and Development Department presented at al-Ta’lim Almustamir Hall on 8/12/2025 a series of specialized lectures for students of the Oil and Gas Economics Department at Al-Nisour University.
It attended by Dr. Ahmed Askar, the Head of the Oil and Gas Economics Department at Al-Nisour University, with a number of students from the department.
The Manager of the Geology and Geophysics Division at the company, Mr. Ali H. Hajouj, delivered a lecture covering the stages of exploration, development, and production plans for integrated oil projects, as well as the main features of the economic model adopted by international investment companies. He also discussed the role and responsibilities of the Oil Exploration Company.
Dr. Naseem Shehab Ahmed delivered a scientific lecture covering the methods used to calculate proven and probable oil reserves, the concepts of hydrocarbon reserves and hydrocarbon materials, and the role of the Oil Exploration Company in compensate the depleted Iraqi reserves.
Both lectures witnessed significant interaction from the students, who posed a variety of questions reflecting their interest in the field and their desire to connect theoretical studies with practical application in oil and gas sector.
This initiative stems from the Oil Exploration Company's commitment to supporting scientific frameworks and providing students with opportunities to learn about field experiences and the latest technologies approved in exploration activities.
