Oil Exploration Company Holds Joint Meeting with Sinopec Geophysical Services to Enhance Technical Cooperation

Under the directions of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, and as part of the company's efforts to expand technical cooperation with international companies, a joint meeting was held on 6/11/2025, between Oil Exploration Company and Sinopec Geophysical Services.

The meeting was chaired by the Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, Mr. Abbas M. Ali, and attended by the Director General of Sinopec Geophysical Services in Iraq, Mr. chao Lingjun, along with the Managers of the Field Operations Division, and the Geology and Geophysics Division, the Deputy Manager of the Processing and Information Management Division, and the Deputy Manager of the Exploration Research and Laboratories Department, as well as a number of specialists from both parties.

The meeting explored opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of seismic surveys, data processing, and geological and laboratory studies, with the aim of developing oil exploration activities and enhancing the efficiency of technical performance.

During the meeting, the Oil Exploration Company gave a detailed presentation showcasing its advanced technical capabilities in 2D and 3D seismic surveying, data processing, and geological and laboratory studies. These capabilities garnered significant interest and praise from the Chinese party.

For his part, the Director General of Sinopec Geophysical Services in Iraq expressed his admiration for the Oil Exploration Company's technical capabilities, affirming his company's readiness to expand cooperation and exchange expertise to support oil exploration and development projects in Iraq.

This meeting reflects the Oil Exploration Company's senior management's commitment to strengthening partnerships and exchanging technical expertise in support of exploration projects.
