Oil Exploration Company discusses to Enhance Cooperation with China's UEG

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, received on Wed. 17/9/2025 a delegation from the Chinese company UEG, the operator of Al-Faihaa oil field, Al-Faw exploration block, and Al-Siba gas field. The delegation was headed by CEO Mr. Jang Guangfa.

 During the meeting, they reviewed the progress of ongoing work in the fields operated by the Chinese company and discussed opportunities for joint technical and investment cooperation. UEG expressed its desire to proceed with the implementation of a 3D seismic survey program in areas within Block 9, in cooperation with the Oil Exploration Company. This step underscores UEG's commitment to expanding its operations and enhancing production efficiency.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Oil Exploration Company's efforts to enhance investment opportunities in the exploration and development sector, contributing to increasing hydrocarbon reserves and compensating the depleted, for supporting the national economy.
