OEC Director General Visits New Aircraft Maintenance and Accommodation Center at HEESCO

Within the framework of continuous follow-up of vital projects and enhancing the efficiency of field operations, the Director General of Oil Exploration Company (OEC), Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, conducted today an inspection visit to the new aircraft maintenance and accommodation center at the site of Heavy Engineering Equipment State Company (HEESCO) on 20 February 2025, which reached a completion rate of 70%. During the visit, the Director General was accompanied by Manager of Air Transport Section and OEC Technical Follow-up Committee, and was received by HEESCO Director General, Dr. Harith Shaalan.

OEC Director General Manager was briefed on the progress of work on the project, and he praised the efforts made to complete it according to the highest technical standards, which contributes to supporting the air transport sector for exploration and field activities. He also stressed the importance of this center in enhancing the readiness of aircraft and the continuity of providing air services with high efficiency.

It is noteworthy that the aircraft maintenance and accommodation center comes as part of a development plan aimed at enhancing OEC air transport capabilities, which provides, through the Air Transport Section, air support services to all oil companies affiliated to the Ministry of Oil, to ensure that field operations are conducted safely and efficiently, in accordance with the highest standards of safety and quality in the oil sector.
