Ministry of Oil Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs Chairs Meeting on Development of Exploratory Block 3

Within the framework of the Ministry of Oil's commitment to maximize the investment of national wealth and promote sustainable development to support the national economy, Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, expert Engineer Basim Mohammed Khudair, chaired on Thursday an expanded meeting to discuss ways to develop Exploratory Block 3. The meeting was attended by Director General of Oil Exploration Company (OEC), Director General of the Midland Oil Company (MdOC), Director General of the Petroleum Contracts and Licenses Directorate (PCLD), and Director General of Reservoirs and Field Development Directorate.

During the meeting, they discussed the exploration contract of Exploratory Block 3, and discussed the development of a timetable for the implementation of the necessary steps to mature the contract in cooperation with Pertamina Company. The Undersecretary stressed the importance of exploring unexplored blocks to enhance the country's hydrocarbon resources, stressing the need for cooperation and coordination between the concerned authorities to ensure the achievement of the set goals within specific timeframes and with the highest standards of efficiency.
