Honoring Seismic Crew 6 for Completing 2D Seismic Survey Program in Naft Khana Oil Field

Under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, and in the presence of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company (OEC), Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, the company organized a special ceremony to honor Seismic Crew 6 for completing the 2D seismic survey program in Naft Khana Oil Field in Diyala for the Chinese Geo-Jade Petroleum Corporation as part of the fifth licensing round. The program was completed according to the highest technical standards and ahead of the scheduled completion date.

During the ceremony, OEC Director General praised the efforts of the crew’s staff, emphasizing that this achievement reflects the dedication and high professionalism of OEC staff and their pivotal role in developing the oil sector and enhancing exploration operations. In appreciation of this outstanding performance, the Director General honored the heads of the sections and units with an appreciation shield and directed the award of financial rewards to the crew’s staff in recognition of their role in achieving qualitative progress in seismic survey work, contributing to strengthening OEC position and supporting the oil and gas sector in Iraq.

This honor falls within the Ministry of Oil and OEC approach to motivating outstanding work teams, affirming that collective success and professional innovation are the fundamental pillars for achieving strategic objectives and enhancing the efficiency of exploration and development operations. The Director General was accompanied by Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs, Manager of Field Operation Division, Manager of Financial Department, and Deputy Director of Human Resources Management Department.
