Director General of Oil Exploration Company Receives Delegation from Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources

The Director General of Oil Exploration Company (OEC), Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, received a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Arab Republic of Egypt at OEC headquarters. The delegation included the Deputies of the Minister of Oil for Production, Transportation, and Marketing Affairs, in addition to a number of directors of Egyptian petroleum companies and officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum.

During the meeting, prospects for joint cooperation between Iraq and Egypt in the field of oil exploration were discussed. The two sides discussed ways to exchange expertise and modern technologies used in exploration and production operations, as well as joint investment opportunities to develop oil projects, which would contribute to enhancing production and achieving maximum utilization of hydrocarbon resources.

OEC Director General emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt in the oil sector, emphasizing the importance of exchanging expertise and learning from the successful experiences of both countries in developing the sector. For his part, the head of the Egyptian delegation expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome, affirming Egypt's readiness to enhance cooperation and provide technical support for joint oil projects, serving mutual interests.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue joint coordination and hold future meetings to follow up on the implementation of proposed projects and enhance cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
