Director General of Oil Exploration Company Chairs Regular Meeting with Heads of seismic Crews
The Director General of Oil Exploration Company (OEC), Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, chaired a regular meeting with heads of seismic crews on Thursday, March 13, 2025. The meeting was held in Nineveh Hall at OEC headquarters. The meeting was attended by the Director General's Deputy for Technical and Administrative Affairs and managers of concerned departments. The meeting reviewed the progress of work and discussed the challenges facing the implementation of seismic projects.
During the meeting, the progress rates of seismic survey programs implemented during February were reviewed. Several technical and administrative issues were also discussed, contributing to improving performance and enhancing exploration and extraction operations through developing field work mechanisms and addressing obstacles.
The Director General praised the significant efforts made by the seismic crews in carrying out their assigned tasks according to the highest professional standards. He noted that these efforts play a key role in discovering new oil and natural gas deposits, which positively impacts the national economy and replenishes depleted strategic reserves.
He also stressed the importance of enhancing HSE awareness programs, and the need to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, in line with occupational safety standards and ensuring the sustainability of field operations efficiently and effectively.
