The Oil Exploration Company held the Inaugural Meeting for the External Audit Process with the Certification Party for Quality and Energy Management Systems

Under the directions of the Oil Exploration Company's senior management, as part of its efforts to implement and adopt quality systems, the company hosted at Mohammed Fawzi Hall on Sun. 12/10/2025 the inaugural meeting for the external audit process with Sama Al-Ibdaa Training and Quality Systems Compliance Services, the certification party for the ISO 9001:2018 Quality Management System and the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System.

 

The meeting was chaired by the Manager of the Quality and Institutional Performance Department, representing the Oil Sector Administration, Mr. Dhiaa Jabbar Thijil, with the participation of the managers of the quality formations in the  Ministry's central companies and directorates within the scope of the approved qualification for both systems.

 

During the meeting, the pre-prepared external audit program was reviewed, and proposals and observations were discussed to facilitate the audit process in a manner that aligns with the nature of the work of the formations that ensures the effectiveness and reliability of the audit outcomes.

 

This significant step aims to enhance the standing of the oil exploration company and the oil sector as a whole by adopting best administrative and technical practices. The certifications for quality and energy management systems represent a new achievement added to the company's record of success in developing institutional performance and adhering to international standards.

 

The external audit team commended the participating formations for their efforts and the commitment and diligence they demonstrated in preparing the documentation for both systems, reflecting their dedication to achieving institutional excellence.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the general framework for implementing the audit program was agreed upon, including the establishment of timelines and the allocation of audit teams and support personnel for both systems.
