The Oil Exploration Company celebrates International Workers' Day and recognizes the efforts of its staff, especially those working in the seismic crews

Under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Engineer Hayyan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, in the presence and under the supervision of the Director General of Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, the company held at the company headquarters on Sun. 3/5/2026 a celebration on the occasion of International Workers' Day.

The celebration began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of our righteous martyrs. The Director General then delivered a speech in which he expressed his great pride in the efforts exerted by the employees in various work sites, emphasizing that the Iraqi worker represents the cornerstone of establishing the oil and energy sector, and that the achievements realized are the fruit of their dedication and commitment to duty.

The company also commended the efforts of its employees, especially those working in the seismic crews. In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, Director General of the Oil Exploration Company, said: "At the Oil Exploration Company, we are proud of our heroic employees who form the true foundation of every achievement, especially our employees in the seismic crews and the engineering department who work in challenging field conditions and prove daily their high level of competence and determination. The Director General particularly commended the efforts of the seismic crews working in the field for their tireless work in difficult geographical and climatic conditions, emphasizing that these crews represent the basic of exploration projects and contribute directly to supporting the company's future plans.

The ceremony included honoring a number of distinguished employees in recognition of their dedication and commitment to their work. It concluded with an affirmation of the company's continued support for its employees and the provision of a stimulating work environment that enhances their capabilities and improves performance efficiency, in line with the company's goals of achieving further accomplishments.
