The Director General of Oil Exploration Company Receives the Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company to Discuss Seismic Survey Projects in the Governorate

The Director General of the Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, received on Thu. 11/6/2026  at the company’s headquarters the Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company, Engineer Saeed Zughair Shalaka.

 The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two companies to develop the oil sector and support national development plans.

During the meeting, they discussed the status of implemented and planned seismic survey projects in Dhi Qar Governorate and their importance in providing accurate geological and geophysical data. This data contributes to determine promising hydrocarbon structures, supporting exploration and development plans and enhancing investment opportunities in the oil sector.

 Both parties emphasized that seismic survey projects are the cornerstone of exploration operations, playing a vital role in exploring new oil and gas reservoirs.

This, in turn, positively impacts the economy of Dhi Qar Governorate in particular and contributes to strengthening Iraq's economic resources and supporting sustainable development plans in national level.
