The Director General Chairs the Periodic Meeting of Seismic Crews Heads and Commends Their Field Achievements

The Director General of the Oil Exploration Company, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, chaired at Ninawa Hall on Tue. 17/2/2026 the periodic meeting of the heads of the seismic crews, in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs and a number of managers of relevant divisions and departments.

 The meeting reviewed the progress of field operations and discussed future plans for seismic survey projects in various exploration blocks. Technical reports on completion rates and challenges facing the field teams were also presented. Furthermore, mechanisms for improving performance and increasing work efficiency were discussed, in line with the company's strategic plans to support and maximize hydrocarbon reserves.

The Director General also addressed the company's recent annual symposium, during which its most significant achievements were reviewed, highlighting the major successes of the seismic crews in implementing seismic survey programs. The symposium emphasized the crews' ability to overcome field challenges and achieve advanced completion rates according to the established plans.

During the meeting, the Director General emphasized the importance of strict adherence to technical standards, occupational safety requirements, and environmental protection during exploration operations. He stressed the necessity of adopting modern technologies in seismic interpretation and data analysis to obtain accurate results that support exploration decisions.

The Director General stated during the meeting: “The field achievements of our seismic crews reflect a high level of professionalism, discipline, and responsibility. We rely on our national expertise to implement seismic survey programs according to the highest technical standards, and we will continue to support our engineering and technical staff and provide them with everything that enhances their capabilities to achieve the company’s strategic goals of increasing reserves and strengthening the exploration sector.”

He commended the significant efforts of the staff working in the seismic crews, their dedication and commitment to their duties, and affirmed that the successes achieved are the fruit of teamwork, sound planning, and genuine commitment.
