Oil Exploration Company Conducts Internal Audit of Energy Management System in Accordance with ISO 50001:2018

As part of its commitment to implementing modern management systems and adherence a culture of quality and continuous improvement, Oil Exploration Company hosted on Tue. 21/7/2026 a ministerial audit team, to conduct an internal audit of its energy management system in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001:2018.

 The audit began with a visit by the ministerial audit team to the Director General, Dr. Osama Raouf Hussein, who welcomed the team members and emphasized the importance of the audit in enhancing the efficiency of the energy management system and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

 This was followed by the inaugural meeting of the ministerial audit team with the Director General, in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Administrative Affairs, Expert Hussein S. Awda, members of the ministerial audit team, and the manager of the Quality Management Section.

The Director General affirmed the company's commitment to implementing quality and energy management systems, praising the efforts of the ministerial audit team in supporting continuous improvement and measuring the effectiveness of these systems. He also emphasized the company's readiness to adopt all observations and recommendations that contribute to performance development.

 The audit included field visits to several company formations to review implementation procedures and document strengths and opportunities for improvement. At the conclusion of its work, the audit team commended the company's level of commitment and the procedures taken to ensure the effective implementation of the energy management system, which enhances institutional development and performance enhancement in accordance with international standards.
